The windows are broken, the boarded windows are not sealed so who knows what kind of mold and animal life come through, including bugs. It smells like mold and weed. “Nothing for breakfast except coffee. Door on room did not fit well, allowing visible cracks that showed hallway. Sure seems like someone is living there as the food odors were very strong (and not good) at the same time each night. Check-in took too long, and check-out was even longer. People hanging around lobby during check-out made it very strange and the clerk said nothing so I assume they were related. I will NOT stay at this hotel again.”

“This was the second time this year that we stayed at the Essenhaus. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet! Check-in was fast and the staff here is friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the hot breakfast but wish they had granola to go along with the yogurt. We highly recommend The Essenhaus!”

“Do not stay here! I booked a room 3 weeks in advance of our trip. We were given a room that had no air conditioning and when I told them they said they knew there was no air but they didn't have any other rooms! They finally found another room for us and then rebooked the room we were originally in with someone else before they cleaned it! We had laid on the bed, used the restroom but they didn't clean it before renting to someone else. Now it makes me wonder how clean the room was that we……

“Hotel was clean enough. But not CLEAN. The dust was noticeable on fixtures in the hallway, elevator was dirty. Pool tiles were missing and had a film on them. Bathroom sink was clean but shower had mold. Bed was super comfy. Pillows were great. Breakfast was good. I would stay again if passing through, but wouldn't go out of my way to stay there.”

“The room was clean and the lady at the front desk was helpful the first night. There was rarely someone at the front desk, tho. However, the room had some maintenence issues. There was tiling in the bathroom that was very sloppily repaired; there was a big patch of peeled/missing paint on the walls; the interior of the closet was missing a panel or mirror or something. There was no hair dryer. I know the power outage was not your fault, but we did not get breakfast and that was a bummer.”
